A Premier Basketball Program

Region Rebel Basketball is a premier basketball program dedicated to developing high-performance athletes. Serving youth and high school-aged boys and girls in the Valparaiso, Indiana area, we focus on building skilled, confident, and impactful players.

 

Founded in 2008 by Coach Jerry "Coach B" Bechtold, our mission is to create "impact players"—athletes who not only make the team but leave a lasting mark on every team they join, whether in high school, club, or league play. With over 37 years of coaching experience, Coach B leads the program as both director and coach.

We believe basketball, like other sports, helps us to teach young athletes discipline, teamwork, resilience, and leadership—skills that shape them into hardworking, respectful, and responsible individuals both on and off the court.

Jerry Bechtold
– DIRECTOR & COACH

With over 37 years of coaching experience, Coach B leads the program as both director and coach. His extensive background includes coaching at all levels—camps, clinics, elementary and middle school, AAU, and high school girls' basketball—bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to every player who steps on the court.
